Dr. Chip Starnes

Chip has served as senior pastor since 2007, after pastoring churches in Mississippi for fifteen years. His passion is to teach and preach the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He holds a Doctor of Ministry from Beeson Divinity School of Samford University, an M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.S. from Mississippi College.

He and his wife Darlene have a daughter, Rebecca, a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Lauren, and three grandsons — Ethan, Nathan, and Logan.

Chip enjoys time with family, reading, hunting, and college football.

Mark Davis

Mark has served as youth pastor since 2014.

He and his wife Tabetha — a physical education teacher at Baldwin County High School — have been married since 2011 and have two sons, Noah and Hutch. Both are Auburn graduates and avid sports fans.

Mark holds an undergraduate degree from Auburn in Secondary Education with a focus in biological sciences, and an M.Div. in Youth Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He enjoys complete chaos with his family, hunting, fishing, and dominating teenagers in every game.

Bailey Hill

Bailey has served as Associate Pastor of Worship and Children since May 2026. Before coming to FBC, he served for 10 years in worship, children’s, and senior adult ministry at Chatom Baptist Church.

He is a graduate of William Carey University with a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Worship Ministry and a Master of Music in Church Music. His goal at FBC is to serve to the best of his ability and give God glory in everything.

While at Chatom, Bailey met his wife, Jordan; they have been married since December 2021 and have a daughter, Ellie. Bailey enjoys time with his family, being outdoors, and watching Auburn football.

Jann Trawick

Jann has served as administrator since October 2022.

She grew up in First Baptist Church and is married to David Trawick; together they have three children — Kimberly, Lauren, and David Jr. — and nine grandchildren. Jann is delighted to be back in Bay Minette near family as she serves her home church.

She enjoys teaching, singing, serving others, and spending time on the beautiful Gulf Coast.

Ben Lockridge

Ben has been serving with First Baptist since 2020.

He and his wife Kacie have been married since 2008 and have two daughters, Addy and Blake.

Previously, Ben worked for over 20 years in video production and journalism, spanning television, radio, and print — most recently as a news director for a television station in Meridian, Mississippi.

Ben and his family love living close to the Gulf of Mexico, one of their favorite destinations.

Katie Amerson

Katie has dedicated her life to nurturing and guiding children, a passion that began early and has grown over time. With more than 13 years of experience, she brings compassion and expertise to her work.

In 2024, Katie felt called by God to join the First Baptist Child Development Center, uniting her faith and her passion for teaching, where she makes a meaningful impact on children and families.

She earned an Associate degree in Medical Office Assisting from Liberty University in 2023.

Katie has been married to her husband Chase for 13 years and has two daughters, Amelia and Charlotte. She enjoys time with her family, playing pickleball, and family trips — especially to the mountains.

Tina Haskew

Tina is wife to Eric and mom to Sarah, Daniel, and Noah.

She has been with FBC since 2016.

Beyond her work and parenting, she teaches the two-year-old Sunday School class and sings with the FBC Choir.

Tina enjoys reading and cheering on her children in all their music activities.

Angie Roley

Angie has been serving in her position at FBC since 2024.

She is the mom of two sons, Joshua and Patrick, and “Gee” to eight grandchildren.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, kayaking, and water activities.

Ronnie Clark

Ronnie has been serving at the church since January 2025.

He and his wife Tammy have been married since 1990 and have been blessed with one son, one daughter, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters.

Ronnie has truly enjoyed his time serving and looks forward to many more years as part of this church family, helping create a welcoming environment for everyone.

Kaylee Abston

Kaylee has served as the Children’s Intern since 2025.

She is currently a student at the University of Mobile, where she also plays beach volleyball, studying psychology with the hope of helping children navigate mental health struggles while growing in their relationship with the Lord.

Previously she served as a summer camp counselor and as a children’s intern at her former church.

She enjoys playing sports with friends, going on walks and runs, spending time in nature, and traveling.
